Are you a fan of Canadian magazines, specifically women magazines? These magazines contain a myriad of tips for about any woman in Canada, from attracting men to fashion to celebrity news to home life. If you’re a fan, should you subscribe or should you just buy at the newsstand?

The Case for Buying at a Newsstand

The positive of buying at a newsstand is that you can only buy an issue when something catches your eye. You can scan a wide number of different titles all at once and see which one(s) jump out at you.

When you find one that you like, you can purchase just that title. You don’t risk receiving magazines that you don’t like in the mail.

You can also buy from a number of different magazines every month. So rather than getting 12 issues of the same women magazines, you can get 12 different issues instead.

The Case for Subscribing to the Magazine

There are two main reasons to subscribe instead of buying at the newsstand.

First of all is continuity. If you get really busy in your life, it can be easy to forget to buy a copy of your favourite magazine. If that happens, you might miss out on the latest fashion trends or miss a crucial chapter in the latest celebrity developments.

Another reason is price. Canadian magazines are much cheaper when they’re subscribed to, often more than half the newsstand price. If you’re a big fan of a magazine, you can save a lot of money by actually subscribing to the magazine rather than buying every copy at the newsstand.

So which approach should you take? The best approach is usually to buy your magazines at a newsstand in the beginning to see which ones you like. Once you find a favourite that you want to subscribe to in the long run, then get a subscription and save the money.
